Abstract:
To provide a recording medium transfer device capable of transferring a recording medium without damaging the recording medium.SOLUTION: A recording medium transfer device includes: a roller pair consisting of a first roller and a second roller that nip and convey a recording medium; a support member arranged upstream of the roller pair in a transfer direction of the recording medium and supporting the recording medium on a convex curved surface; and a guide arranged between the support member and the roller pair, and configured to guide a tip of the recording medium to the first roller, the recording medium being conveyed to the roller pair side while being supported by the convex curved surface of the support member. When a tangent line of the convex curved surface of the support member that passes through a nip portion of the roller pair is used as a reference line, the guide is movable between a guide position where the tip on the roller pair side is closer to the first roller side than the reference line, and a retreat position where the tip on the roller pair side is on the reference line or closer to the second roller side than the reference line.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
