Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium that has a high glossiness and a good ink absorption.SOLUTION: Provided is a recording medium consecutively including, on at least one face of a substrate, a first ink receiving layer, a second ink receiving layer, and a third ink receiving layer in this order, and in which: the first ink receiving layer, the second ink receiving layer, and the third ink receiving layer each contain inorganic particles; the refractive index of the inorganic particles contained in the second ink receiving layer is higher than the refractive index of the inorganic particles contained in the first ink receiving layer and the refractive index of the inorganic particles contained in the third ink receiving layer; the inorganic particles contained in the second ink receiving layer has an average primary particle size of 100 nm or less, as well as the refractive index is 1.9 or more; the layer thickness of the first ink receiving layer is 5 μm or more; the layer thickness of the second ink receiving layer is 0.05 μm or more and 2.0 μm or less; and the layer thickness of the third ink receiving layer is 3 μm or more and 25 μm or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
