PURPOSE: To facilitate the reproducing of the audio signals of respective channels even if a movie film is cut and edited.

CONSTITUTION: The recording region of a movie film 1 is divided into first regions 4 between perforations 3 and a longitudinal second region 5 which does not include a picture recording region 2. Basic information of a plurality of channels is recorded in the first regions 4 and additional information is recorded in the second region 5. As the basic information, the audio signals of the respective channels of left, center, right, sound left, sound right and sub-woofer are recorded and, as the additional information, the audio signals of a left-center channel, a right-center channel, a delayed left-center channel, a delayed right-center channel, a mixed left channel and a mixed right channel are recorded. If the information recorded in one of the regions is lost, it is reproduced by using the information in the other region at the time of the reproducing afterwards.
