Abstract:
To provide a recording paper conveying device capable of conveying recording paper on which slack has been formed, without applying an excessive load to a conveying roller.SOLUTION: The recording paper conveying device includes the conveying roller (a platen roller 4) for conveying the recording paper P supplied from roll paper R, slack detecting means (a backfeed detecting unit 32) for detecting slack B of the recording paper P between the roll paper R and the conveying roller (the platen roller 4) and a speed control unit 33, when the slack detecting means (the backfeed detecting unit 32) detects the slack B of the recording paper P, for controlling rotation speed of the conveying roller (the platen roller 4) to be slower than normal time at the time that the slack B of the recording paper P is about to disappear.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
