To obtain an ink jet recording sheet having a peculiar appearance for a woven fabric, sufficient ink absorbability and good dryability by sequentially laminating an ink receiving layer, a woven fabric, a discontinuous adhesive resin layer, an ink receiving layer and a support.
An ink jet recording sheet having sufficient ink absorbability while having a peculiar appearance for a woven fabric and good dryability is formed by sequentially laminating an ink receiving layer, a woven fabric, a discontinuous adhesive resin layer, an ink receiving layer and a support. In this case, the woven fabric having a weaving density 20 to 60 pieces/inch or more in lateral and longitudinal directions is used. Thus, cockling when printed is suppressed. As yarns for constituting the fabric, single yarns, two folded yarns, filament yarns or the like can be used. A woven fabric obtained by weaving filament yarns made of fibers having low water absorbability like polyester fibers is preferably used. In the receiving layer, one or more types of white pigments can be used.
