Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a hot melt ink jet recording process in which printing time is shortened and a solid ink is prevented from becoming oversupplied.
CONSTITUTION: A solid ink feed pipe 1, an ink tank 4 and a head for ink jet recording are formed integrally, and ink feed detection parts 2a, 2b are provided on the tubular wall of the solid ink feed pipe 1 to introduce a solid ink through the pipe 1. If the solid ink 3 matches a specified color, the solid ink 3 is fused based on a signal from the ink feed detection parts 2a, 2b and the molten ink is stored in an ink tank 4.
