To provide a method for recovering a ball in catalyst capable of recovering a ball contained in catalyst as a recycle ball.
The recovery method for balls in catalyst includes: a step (S1) of separating a ball in catalyst from the catalyst; a step (S2) of washing the separated ball; a step (S3) of sieving the washed ball to recover it according to particle size, and a step (S4) of separating it into a spherical ball and a broken ball. As for recycling the ball, The conditions that the ball is free from adhesion of oil, has no cracks and has a high strength have to be satisfied. A ball free from adhesion of oil and having no cracks can be recovered. Further, since a ball is not burnt in a rotary kiln, the recovered ball can be enhanced in strength.
