Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reuse a recycled cylinder of good productivity, having little part to be discarded and being enlarged in diameter during a process for recycling.
CONSTITUTION: A recycled electrophotographic photoreceptor drum 1 which uses a recycled cylinder is obtained by recycling of one(photoreceptor drum to be recycled) whose photosensitive film does not function properly because of the end of its life or a wound caused during manufacture of new products. In the recycled electrophotographic photoreceptor drum 1, the recycled cylinder 2 is greater in radius and is smaller in axial length because of shrinkage than that of the photoreceptor drum to be recycled. Then both end portions of the recycled photoreceptor drum are subjected to additional working such as machining to form a new assembling portion of the shape and size of another type and a bearing-equipped flange 5 and gear-equipped flange 6 of the other type are assembled to the assembling portion.
