Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reduced-complexity ring motor design for propeller driven vehicles.SOLUTION: A motor 200 includes a stator 210 and a rotor 250 that are coupled via a center hub 270 of the rotor. The stator includes a support ring 220, the support ring comprising a plurality of windings 230a, 230b, 230c arranged circumferentially. The rotor is configured to operate as a rotating propeller and includes a center hub, a rotor support ring 280, and a plurality of blades 260a, 260b, 260c, 260d. The rotor support ring comprises a plurality of magnetic poles 290a, 290b, 290c arranged circumferentially.
