Abstract:
To provide a lubricant composition reducing noises of a reducer, etc., more than conventional technology irrespective of the magnitude of backlash when a small gear is combined with a large gear without complicating the structure and to provide a reducer using the composition and an electric power steering apparatus using the reducer.
The lubricant composition comprises, in the lubricant base oil, microparticles interposing in a meshed part of both the gears and serving to reduce the noises and two or more kinds of thickeners containing at least silica. The reducer 50 is obtained by filling a region including the meshed part A of both the gears with the lubricant composition.
