Abstract:

To reduce metallic oxide in a state close to ordinary temp. without causing the extrusion of gas effective for warming the earth such as carbon dioxide and to obtain metal.

The powder 1 of metallic oxide (such as F2O3) is charged to the inside of a closed container 10, reducing gas (such as H2) is introduced into the container 10, moreover, for activating the metallic oxide powder 1, the container 10 is vibrated, and mechanical impact energy is given to the metallic oxide powder 1 by mill balls 2, and in the meanwhile, the reducing gas in the container 10 is brought into contact with the activated metallic oxide powder 1, and reduction reaction is caused.
