PURPOSE: To simplify a device in structure, by installing a reduction gear and a positioning member together as one body, and positioning a tool storage magazine as smoothly decelerated with cam action, in case of an indexing reduction gear in the tool storage magazine for a numerically controlled machine tool.
CONSTITUTION: A hydraulic motor 10 is rotated to move the selected tool pot to a tool change position. At this time, in order to make a roller 27 separate from a positioning groove 26 of a cam 24, pressure oil is fed to the side of a feed port 44 of a cylinder 33 whereby a spool 28 is moved toward the left against resilient force of a spring 39. Next, if a solenoid selector valve 45 is selected to the (a) side, it is connected to a pipe line 46 via the hydraulic motor 10, so that the oil is led into an exhaust port 43, a pipe line 47 and an oil tank 52 by way of a feed port 42 and a clearance 51, thus the hydraulic motor 10 is rotated. Therefore, a sprocket is also rotated and the tool pot is shifted. Then, rotation of the hydraulic motor 10 is decelerated, and the roller 27 at a tip of the spool shaft 28 is fitted in the positioning groove 26, thus positioning for a tool magazine is carried out.
