Title:
REDUCTION OF NONSPECIFIC HYBRIDIZATION BY USING NOVEL BASE-PAIRING SCHEMES
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2008048741
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a nucleic acid hybridization assay which can reduce background noises to increase accuracy for detecting and determining analytes.

The nucleic acid hybridization assay is for detecting nucleic acid analytes in a sample with a plurality of assay components. Each of the assay components contains at least one hybridizable oligonucleotide segment, and the nucleic acid hybridization assay is improved to include a process for taking the first nucleotide unit not effectively forming a base pair with adenosine (A), thymidine (T), cytidine (C), guanosine (G), or uridine (U) under a condition for forming A-T and G-C base pairs in at least one hybridizable oligonucleotide segment.
