Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for reducing redirects.SOLUTION: A method includes a step of receiving request data indicating that a user device has requested a content item. The request data specifies another data processing device which is to be notified of user's interaction with the content item. The content item includes a reference to a resource that is requested in response to the user's interaction with the content item. Response data is provided. The response data includes data causing the content item to be displayed. Interaction data explicitly indicating that user's interaction with the content item has been performed is received. Redirect data for causing the user device to be redirected to the resource is provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
