Title:
REDUCTION OF VARIATION IN TRANSVERSE FORCE IN TIRE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01139245
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To contrive an effective reduction in LFV, by subjecting LF waveforms in forward and reverse directions to Fourier inverse transform to obtain a factor waveform corrected as to a first-degree leg, and determining a grinding quantity and a grinding position for a tire on the basis of the amplitude and phase of the factor waveform. CONSTITUTION:A tire is rotated in a forward direction to detect a force acting transversely. Next, the tire is rotated in the reverse direction to detect a force acting transversely. The transverse forces thus obtained are subjected to Fourier transform. Based at least on a first-order fundamental harmonic wave component of the transverse forces, correction for a first-order lag is conducted to obtain a factor wave form of the transverse forces. A grinding quantity and a grinding position for the tire for reducing variations in the transverse forces are determined based on the factor waveform. A rubber is ground off from a shoulder part of the tire, based on the grinding quantity and the grinding position.
