PURPOSE: To provide a reel opening/closing and reeled matter discharge device in a take-up machine for a band-like matter, in which the opening/closing of a reel is automatically performed, and a reeled matter is automatically removed and discharged from the reel.

CONSTITUTION: A take-up shaft 5 is formed into a double structure consisting of a rotary shaft 6 and an operating shaft 7 to rotate a wrapping member 8 about the take-up shaft by means of the rotary shaft 6, and the operating shaft 7 is reciprocated in the axial direction to bring one end part of the wrapping member 8 near to the take-up shaft 5. Further, a supporting member 50 and a presser-member 52 for pinching a reeled matter R on a reel 4 are provided so that they can freely reciprocate in the axial direction of the reel 4 and turn, and hold the reeled matter R to remove it from the reel 4 to transfer it to a specified position.
