Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a crucible having a long life to refine metal disliking mixture of Cr.
CONSTITUTION: A crucible for refining metal comprises a metal wall 2 of metal containing a small content of Cr such as Ni, Cu, etc., metallurgically connecting to inside of a high melting point metal wall 1 made of high heat resistant alloy such as Inconel, Incoloy or Mo, Ta, Nb, W. Accordingly, its thermal conduction is excellent and a life is long as compared with a conventional crucible in which an inner crucible is mechanically engaged within an outer metal wall.
