Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an adequate visual field angle and to suppress the degradation in contrast by external light.
SOLUTION: This reflection type screen has a light transmissible layer 11 and a Fresnel reflection surface 12 which is formed on the rear surface side of this light transparent layer 11 and has a linear Fresnel lens shape. The screen is provided with a perpendicular diffusion lenticular lens 15 on the observation side which controls the optical axis in a direction perpendicular to the direction of the linear Fresnel lens. The screen is provided with light absorption parts 17 capable of improving the contrast in the parts where the incidence of video light is averted by the light condensing effect of this perpendicular diffusion lenticular lens 15. Further, a horizontal diffusion lenticular lens 14 which controls the optical axis in a horizontal direction is formed in approximately the same direction as the direction of the Fresnel lens on the lens surface of the Fresnel reflection surface 12.
