PURPOSE: To read correction data in an arbitrary timing, and prevent the damage of a reflector by driving a rotary solenoid at the time of reading the correction data, and rotationally moving a reflecting plate from a housing position to a focusing position.
CONSTITUTION: A light irradiated from an LED array 9 is reflected on the upper face of a card 11 carried on a fixed guide 2, condensed by a lens 10, and received by a CCD array 8. One edge of a reflecting plate 3 is supported by a rotary shaft 4a at one corner of the fixed guide 2, the rotary shaft 4a is rotated by the actuator of a rotary solenoid 4, and the reflecting plate 3 is moved from the housing position to the focusing position. The reflecting plate 3 is reserved from the carrying path of the card 11 at the housing position so that it can be prevented from being opposed to or brought into contact with the card 11 which is being carried. Therefore, the reflecting plate 3 can be prevented from being damaged in a long time usage, it can be almost matched with the upper face of the card 11 at the focusing position, and the light of the LED array 9 can be reflected and received by the CCD array 8.
