Abstract:
To provide a reformer which can achieve downsized physical constitution.SOLUTION: A reformer 1 includes a main casing 13 which accommodates an ATR catalyst 14; an air supply pipe 16 through which air flows to the main casing 13; an injector 11 which supplies ammonia gas into the main casing 13; and a combustor 15 which is attached to a portion in the main casing 13 on an upstream side of the ATR catalyst 14. The combustor 15 has: an auxiliary casing 17 which is coupled to the main casing 13; and an ignition part 18 which is disposed in the auxiliary casing 17 and which ignites the ammonia gas mixed with the air. The auxiliary casing 17 is coupled to the main casing 13 so that a portion of the auxiliary casing 17 is accommodated in the main casing 13. A slit 19 for introducing the ammonia gas and the air into the auxiliary casing 17 and an open end 21 for guiding a combustion gas generated in the auxiliary casing 17 out of the auxiliary casing 17 are provided in a region in the auxiliary casing 17, the region accommodated in the main casing 13.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
