Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reforming apparatus for a fuel cell, which is capable of rapidly starting-up and has excellent exhaust performance.
SOLUTION: This reforming apparatus is provided with an evaporator 28 for evaporating a fuel and raw materials containing fuel and water, a waste hydrogen combustor 27 for heating the evaporator, a reformer 22 for producing a reformed gas consisting essentially of hydrogen from the vapor of the fuel and the raw materials and air, a starting-up combustor 20 for producing a high temperature gas by the combustion of the fuel at the time of starting-up, and a fuel component supply means for supplying the fuel component for the reforming reaction to the high temperature gas supplied to the reformer. The fuel component supply means is constituted so as to supply the fuel and air in the tailing flow of the starting-up combustor 20.
