Title:
REFORMING DEVICE FOR FUEL BATTERY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6321203
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the number of parts and working cost and to permit an easy catalyst exchange work by welding an evaporator, reactor and collecting chamber to each other to an integral construction.

CONSTITUTION: The evaporator 1 for evaporating fuel and the reactor 3 in which a catalyst bed is packed are connected to one body by welding. Such reactor 3 and the collecting chamber 4 to collect the formed reforming gas are connected by welding to one body. The three chambers are thus made into the integral construction as a whole. The number of the parts constituting the connecting parts is reduced and the need for working to obtain plane accuracy, etc., for the purpose of sealing is eliminated by such integration. The catalyst exchange operation is easily carried out as the three chambers are integrated to a unit and are wholly exchanged by each of such unit. This device is suitable for small-sized fuel batteries.
