PURPOSE: To improve evaporation capacity without increasing the size of an evaporator by packing aggregate consisting of many small materials into the evaporator.
CONSTITUTION: The aggregate consisting of the many small materials 9 is packed into the evaporator 1 for evaporating fuel and a fuel supply pipe 5 is inserted into the aggregate. Spherical, blocked, wire-shaped and other shape materials consisting of chemically stable metals such as stainless steel and copper or ceramics, etc., are used as the small materials 9. The aggregate of such small materials 9 has the large heat receiving capacity by the aggregation of the heat capacities which the respective materials possess; in addition, the aggregate has the large evaporation area by the aggregation of the surface areas that the respective materials possess. The evaporator 1 is, therefore, capable of providing the high evaporation capacity and contributes to the improvement in the reaction efficiency with the reactor.
