Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve quality of reformed layer and to form a deep reformed layer by uniformizing hardness, etc., of the reformed layer.
CONSTITUTION: A surface of a base material 1 made of Al alloy is melted by laser beam 3 in a molten pool 4, to which powder 6 consisting of Ni as reforming element and Bi as surface activating element is sprayed and in which convection of molten alloy is briskly performed by Bi. A reformed layer 9 is formed on the base material 1 accompanying to the cooling of the molten pool 4.
