Abstract:
To obtain the inexpensive refractory material having high corrosion resistance, and to provide a method for making such a refractory material.
This refractory material for incinerators is obtained by forming a thermally oxidized film 30 on the surface of a molded form 20 consisting of a nonoxide ceramic material or a ceramic material consisting mainly of the nonoxide ceramic material. The other objective method for making the refractory material comprises a step for making a refractory material 10b comprising a silicic material and a 2nd step for forming a thermally oxidized film 30b on the surface of the refractory material 10b.
