Abstract:
To provide a refrigerant leakage detection method capable of detecting anticipated refrigerant leakage by accurately deriving a total refrigerant amount of a refrigerant present in a liquid phase state and a gas state in various devices constituting refrigerant circulation piping.SOLUTION: Respective liquid levels of a cooler 20 and a receiver 10 are detected by level sensors 23 and 13. Liquid refrigerant amounts below the respective liquid levels of the cooler 20 and the receiver 10 are calculated, and gas refrigerant amounts above the respective liquid levels are calculated. By combining the liquid refrigerant amounts and the gas refrigerant amounts, a current total refrigerant amount, which is a leakage detection target, is derived. On the basis of a difference between the current total refrigerant amount and a reference refrigerant amount which serves as a reference in refrigerant circulation piping 1, leakage of the refrigerant in the refrigerant circulation piping 1 is detected continuously or intermittently in an operation in which the refrigerant circulates in the refrigerant circulation piping 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
