Abstract:

To provide a small-sized refrigerant recovery tank equipped with a lid 3 for replacing an adsorbent 7 in order to recover a refrigerant such as a spent refrigerant easily at a low cost, and a method for recovering the refrigerant using the refrigerant recovery tank.

This method is a refrigerant recovery method for recovering the refrigerant in a refrigeration circuit 11, using the refrigerant recovery tank 1 having the removable lid 3 for replacing an activated carbon 7. The refrigerant recovery tank 1 is connected to a manifold 21 by the first hose 18, the manifold 21 is connected to a vacuum pump 8 by the second hose 19, the manifold 21 is connected to the refrigeration circuit 11 by the third hose 20, the vacuum pump 8 is operated after the connections to evacuate the refrigerant recovery tank 1, and the refrigeration circuit 11 is communicated with the refrigerant recovery tank 1 after the evacuation to adsorb the refrigerant onto the activated carbon 7.
