To obtain a higher electric energy amount at a higher temperature difference, by using exhaust heat nearly at maximum temperature produced by operation of a refrigerating machine.
A refrigerating apparatus includes a compressor, a condensing machine, an expansion valve, and an evaporation machine which are sequentially connected through a refrigerant pipe, and thermoelectric elements for converting a temperature difference into electric energy. One of the thermoelectric elements is positioned in the refrigerant pipe connecting the compressor and the condenser, and the other of the thermoelectric elements is positioned in an ambient air atmosphere. According to the present invention, since one of the thermoelectric elements is positioned in the refrigerant pipe connecting the compressor and the condenser, and the other of the thermoelectric elements is positioned in the ambient air atmosphere, condensation heat after being discharged from the compressor and before flowing into the condenser and the ambient air atmosphere can be used, so that a temperature difference obtained from exhaust heat produced by operation of the refrigerating machine and the outside air can be increased, and consequently, a power generation amount by the thermoelectric elements can be increased.
