This refrigerating device 100 for ground transportation loaded on a vehicle for ground transportation comprising a cold storage for keeping a cooled object in cold, comprises the compressor 50 driven by an engine 3 for running, of the vehicle, an electromagnetic clutch 51 for connecting or disconnecting the power of the engine 3 for running to the compressor, and a liquid discharging operation control portion 62a for controlling the motion of the electromagnetic clutch 51, and the liquid discharging operation control portion 62a connects the electromagnetic clutch 51 for a prescribed time T2 only when a prescribed time T1 passes from the stop of the engine 3 for running to the start, so that the power of the engine 3 for running is transmitted to the compressor 50 to perform the liquid discharging operation.
