To provide a refrigeration apparatus and a refrigerating method capable of uniformly cooling a refrigerated object in a refrigeration tank, shortening a refrigeration time and easily keeping freshness of the refrigerated object.
In a refrigeration apparatus body 10 for refrigerating the refrigerated object W by refrigeration liquid c in the refrigeration tank 13, a bubble generator 30 is disposed to generate bubbles a in the refrigeration liquid c. The bubble generator 30 is composed of an air suction portion 31 for sucking the air, a bubbling portion 34 disposed in the refrigeration liquid c in the refrigeration tank 13 for bubbling the air, and an air distributing portion 33 for distributing the air sucked by the air suction portion 31 to the bubbling portion 34, and the air suction portion 31 is disposed in a sealed space on a liquid level of the refrigeration liquid c in the refrigeration tank 13.
