In this refrigerating device with the vapor compression type refrigerating machine X and the absorption type refrigerating machine Y, a solenoid valve 41 is arranged in a pipe line 67 reaching a refrigerant heat recovery heat exchanger 6 from the outlet side of the absorber 12 of the absorption type refrigerating machine Y. During cooling operation, the solenoid valve 41 is opened. On the other hand, during heating operation, a four-way selector valve 2 is switched, thereby making the refrigerant of the vapor compression type refrigerating machine flow in a direction opposite to that in cooling operation, and it is closed when the refrigerant temperature of the vapor compression type refrigerating machine X is at a set refrigerant temperature or more, and opened when it is below the set refrigerant temperature, or closed when the temperature of the solution on the outlet side of the supercooling heat exchanger 15 of the absorption type refrigerating machine Y is at the set refrigerant temperature or more, and opened when it is below the set solution temperature. By this constitution, the effect of improving the performance can be obtained both in the cooling operation and heating operation of the vapor compression type refrigerating machine X.
