To provide a plurality of food rethermalization-refrigeration systems to rethermalize a food by utilizing convective heating, the systems being monitored and controlled by a remotely located computer.
This system is provided with a cart docking unit 14 consisting of a refrigeration means to generate refrigerated air and a guide means to guide refrigerated air to inner compartment 40 and 42 at predetermined intervals. A heating means to generate heated air and a guide means to guide heated air are located at predetermined intervals. A power source 36 provides electrical power to a refrigeration-rethermalization system. A communication and control means(CCM) controls refrigeration and thermalization of a food based on a programmable refrigeration-rethermalization schedule. A detecting means 12 electrically connected to the CCM detects an information signal, generates a plurality of information signals, and sends the signals to the CCM for processing. A remotely located central computer(CPU) monitors the refrigeration-rethermalization system.
