A refrigeration unit for a vehicle is provided with a refrigerating machine unit 9 in which an evaporator 19 and a fan 25 for evaporator are mounted inside an evaporator house 29 and a condenser 15 and a fan 23 for condenser are mounted outside the house 29. The unit 9 is attached to the refrigerator 3 of a vehicle to cool the inside the refrigerator 3. The evaporator 19 is arranged above the house 29 with a clearance for forming an air passage 30 between the evaporator 19 and the internal side face of the house 29 and the fan 25 is an axial fan and provided between the internal side face of the house 29 and evaporator 19.
