To develop a refrigerator and an alcoholic drink storage device which can effectively utilize the surplus nighttime electric power and suppress the daytime power consumption.

A refrigerator is composed of a heat insulating box body 2 surrounded by heat insulating walls 8, a heat storage tank 3 which stores heat, a cooling device 5 which cools the tank 3, and a transmitting means 6 which transmits the cold heat in the tank 3 to the box body 2. The cooling device 5 operates when the electric power is surplus and the transmitting means 6 circulates a liquid heating medium through the heat storage tank 3. In addition, the transmitting means 6 works to adjust the temperature in the box body 2 to a prescribed value.
