To provide a refrigerator for a transport preventing an accident caused by overheating of a clutch shoe and belt cut etc. and continuing cooling operation as much as possible to protect cargo.

The refrigerator 1 for transport includes driven side equipment such as a compressor 11, a power generator 13 and an air blower 10 driven by any of an engine 2 or an electric motor 6 directly or via a power transmission means. The refrigerator 1 for transport further includes a slip detection means 22 for detecting slippage of the power transmission means and a protective stop means 38 for issuing a warning when the slippage of the power transmission means detected by the slip detection means 22 exceeds a set value and performing protective stop of driving side equipment. The protective stop means 38 can perform return operation by an operation switch 39 when the protective stop is not continued at set frequency or more, and cannot perform the return operation by the operation switch 39 when the protective stop is continued at the set frequency or more.
