A back face of a heat insulating box 1 is composed by a heat insulating wall 27 serving as a partition between an outer wall back face 12 and an uppermost storage chamber. A recessed part 10 is formed by a second top face part 26, a side wall 46 of the heat insulating box 1, and the outer wall back face 12. In the heat insulating wall 27, an outer box 41 being a refrigerator outer surface, and an inner box 42 being a refrigerator inner surface are used as outer shell, and a space between the outer box 41 and the inner box 42 is composed of hard urethane foam 40, a sound insulation plate 43a arranged so as to contact the outer box 41, a sound insulation plate 43b arranged so as to contact the inner box 42, and a sound insulation plate 43c arranged so as to contact the sound insulation plate 43b. By this, high frequency sound generated from the compressor can be removed, and sound from a low frequency to a middle frequency generated from refrigerating cycle components such as a drier, a passage control valve, and piping can be removed.
