To provide a refrigerator suppressing occurrence of decay and/or smell so as to sanitarily produce tasty and highly nutritious germinated cereal grains through solving the following problem: a conventional method for heating cereal grain utilized because of requiring enhancement of intravital oxygen activation for germinating the cereal grain and harvesting highly nutritious tasty germinated cereal grain is often accompanied by getting rotten due to increase of microorganisms and/or occurrence of stuffy smell.
The refrigerator has the following mechanism: giving external stimulation to the living body of cereal grain to activate oxygen reaction of the living body of the cereal grain so as to promote or suppress the biological reaction. The external stimulation preferably comprises light exposure means, spray of fine-diameter water particles or the like.
