To provide a refrigerator reducible in power consumption by reducing a space occupied by a heat insulating wall to improve effective storage volume efficiency as a refrigerator, and increasing the efficiency of storage chamber layout and component arrangement to improve cooling performance.
The refrigerator comprises a refrigerating chamber 2 arranged at an uppermost part inside a heat insulating box body 1 used as a storage space; first and second freezing chambers 4, 5 of small volume juxtaposed below through a heat insulating partition wall 7; a third freezing chamber 6 larger in volume than the first and second freezing chambers and provided adjoining the first and second freezing chambers; and a vegetable chamber 9 provided below a freezing storage space 3 formed of the first to third freezing chambers, through a heat insulating partition wall 8. A refrigerating cooler 10 for cooling only the refrigerating chamber is disposed behind the refrigerating chamber, and a freezing cooler 15 for cooling only the freezing storage space is disposed behind the third freezing chamber.
