To provide a refrigerator capable of easily and surely storing a tall stored object while improving storage efficiency of a shelf, with respect to the shelf of the refrigerator.
A shelf board 102 having different depths at its right and left, is composed of a front shelf board 103 and a back shelf board 104, so that it is dividable back and forth, a butting face of the front shelf board 103 and the back shelf board 104 has a structure that a front shelf extension portion 107 is positioned at an upper part, and a back shelf extension portion 110 is positioned at a lower part, and the front shelf extension portion 107 and the back shelf extension portion 110 are overlapped in the vertical direction, thus the deflection of the shelf can be absorbed by the overlapped portion of the front shelf extension portion 107 and the back shelf extension portion 110, even when a heavy article is placed on the shelf board 102, and the entire strength of the shelf board 102 can be increased by a simple structure.
