To provide a refrigerator including a storage room such as a gas control chamber, maintaining strength in simple constitution, and inexpensive and light-weighted.
In this refrigerator, a refrigerator body 1 includes the storage room having a contour member 14 having an opening 14r from which stored material is put in and out, a lid member 16 opening and closing the opening 14r of the contour member 14, and a seal member 16p which is provided between the lid member 16 and the opening 14r of the contour member 14 to restrain migration of gas between the lid member 16 and the opening 14r of the contour member 14. In the refrigerator, the opening 14r of the contour member 14 is an oblong, which is larger in the width direction than in the height direction, and has roundness higher in the center than at ends, and the contour member 14 is box-shaped and formed integral so that the top face 14e and the base 14c are respectively projected outward and curved.
