To provide a refrigerator using a substrate, which is provided in a refrigeration chamber and on which LED light emitting elements are arranged, as an internal light, and improved in the designability around the internal light and in the visibility of foods etc. to be gentle to eyes.
The refrigerator includes: the refrigeration chamber 2 in an upper part; a freezer 3 in a lower part; two or more shelves vertically provided in the refrigeration chamber 2; a recession 14 provided on a resin-made duct cover 9 covering a duct 8 for supplying a cold air inside, on a back face of the refrigeration chamber 2; the substrate 10 on which the LED light emitting elements 16 are arranged in the recession 14; and a lamp cover 11 formed of a light-transmitting resin and provided before the substrate 10. The light of LED light emitting elements 16 diffusely illuminates by protrusions 22 formed on a surface of the lamp cover 11 that has a circular cross section. By constituting the shelves located before the lamp cover 11 with a glass shelf 5, the light diffusely irradiating reaches the whole refrigeration chamber 2 by transmission and reflex action by the glass shelf 5.
