Abstract:
To provide a refrigerator which prevents a door from opening when a switch installed at a lower part of a body front surface is operated in a situation unintended by a user.SOLUTION: A refrigerator includes a storage chamber door, door opening/closing detection means, a proximity sensor, door opening instruction operation detection means, and a door opening drive mechanism. The storage chamber door is provided on the front surface of the storage chamber of the refrigerator body, and opens/closes a front opening part of the storage chamber. The door opening/closing detection means is installed at the refrigerator body, and detects the opening/closing state of the storage chamber door. The proximity sensor is installed at the storage chamber door, and detects an approaching user. The door opening instruction operation detection means is installed on the front surface at a lower part of the refrigerator body, and detects a door opening instruction operation with respect to the storage chamber door by the user. The door opening drive mechanism opens the storage chamber door when the user is detected by the proximity sensor and the door opening instruction operation is detected by the door opening instruction operation detection means when the closed state of the storage chamber door is detected by the door opening/closing detection means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
