Abstract:

PURPOSE: To suppress a rise of temperature in a refrigerator by supplying electric current through a heater for the prevention of freezing with the most appropriate timing in relation with the temperature in the refrigerator.
CONSTITUTION: In a refrigerator which consists of compressors 4, 10, a cascade condenser 25, a pressure reducing device 46, and evaporation pipe 47 which are connected by pipings heaters 53, 54 for heating the inlet piping and outlet piping to the pressure reducing device 46 and first and second timer elements 56, 57 that are incorporated in a microcomputer 55 are provided. When the compressors 4 and 10 stop in a specified time by the second timer element 57 electric current is supplied to the heaters 53, 56 simultaneously and, on the other hand, when the compressors 4 and 10 do not stop in a specified time by the second timer element 57, the compressors 4, 10 are forcibly stopped and at the same time electric current is supplied to the heaters 53, 54.
