Title:
REFRIGERATOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3928230
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a refrigerator comprising centrifugal compressor and turbine in which the maintenance period is prolonged while generating a high output by employing a refrigerant gas produced by mixing helium and a gas having higher molecular weight than helium and inert in the atmosphere.
SOLUTION: In a refrigerator comprising a motor 4 disposed between an upper compressor 2 and a lower turbine 3, one stage of centrifugal blade 12 is fixed to the upper end of a vertical shaft 8 intruding into a casing 11. A gas 13 introduced from an upper inlet 11a into the casing 11 is compressed rotation of the blade 12 and fed from a side outlet 11b through a cooler 17 and a heat exchanger 18 to a turbine 3. The gas 13 is circulated to the compressor 2 after temperature thereof is increased by the heat exchanger 18. A mixture gas of helium and a gas (e.g. neon, argon) having higher molecular weight than helium and inert in the atmosphere is employed as time gas 13.
