Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a quiet refrigerator by reducing refrigerant noise made during operation suspension of a compressor and defrosting operation in a refrigerator, in which a refrigerating machine oil compatible with refrigerant is used in a low pressure shell compressor.
SOLUTION: A connection pipe between an evaporator and an accumulator is connected to the upper part of the accumulator as a means for preventing generation of vapor bubbles comming from the evaporator and rising in the liquid refrigerant in the vertically installed accumulator. The suction pipe serving also as a thrust pipe is connected to the lower part of the accumulator. Thus the refrigerant noise due to formation and breaking of the bubbles in the accumulator during the operation suspension and the defrosting operation can be reduced to provide a quiet refrigerator.
