To provide a free-falling type refuse vertical conveyor system which is simple in structure and inexpensive in cost, and besides, there is no possibility of refuse jam.
This refuse vertical conveyor system is provided with a speed reducing unit 8, being made up into a semi-hourglass form contracted at the lower part of an inner circumferential side rope 19 as a whole in wrapping an endless rope 9 on a plurality of sheaves 10, and making the whole inner circumferential side rope 19 shiftable from the upper part to the lower part, in a chute 2 for drolling the refuse 3 down. In this constitution, the refuse 3 is decelerated at the midway of falling down, thereby controlling its speed aright. The speed reducing unit 8 is simply comprised of the one endless rope 9 and the plural sheaves 10. At a time of deceleration, the refuse 3 is mechanically fed beneath by the inner circumferential side rope 19 traveling from the upper part to the lower part. In consequence, refuse jam is prevented from occurring.
