Abstract:
PURPOSE: To simply regenerate an inferior selenium material to an electrophotographic light sensitive material by finely pulverizing the inferior material; melting the pulverized material; and dipping the melt in water through a shot plate to pelletize the melt.
CONSTITUTION: Granular selenium (inferior selenium) is finely pulverized to improve the characteristics. The pulverized selenium is then melted, held at 300W 600°C for 10minW5hr, and dropped into ion exchanged water of ordinary temp. or above through a shot plate to obtain about 3mm granular selenium (regenerated selenium).
