Abstract:

PURPOSE: To effectively isolate such solid contents as resin, pigments, etc., from a waste liquid solvent, and to regenerate this waste liquid solvent to a high quality solvent, by adding a caustic alkali-alcohol solution to the waste liquid solvent discharged from a painting process.

CONSTITUTION: The waste liquid solvent is temporarily stored in a waste liquid solvent reservoir 1, and is fed to a chemical processing tank 3 by a feed pump 2. A chemical tank 4 is connected to this chemical processing tank 3 through a dosing pump 5; a caustic alkali-alcohol solution in a suitable amount is fed from the tank 4 to th chemical processing tank 3 by the dosing pump 5. In the chemical processing tank 3, the waste liquid solvent is mixed with the caustic alkali-alcohol solution; thereby the solid contents settle down in the chemical processing tank 3. The sediment is taken out into a sediment receiver 6; the supernatant liquid is distilled by a distillator 7, and the sludge generated wherein is receovered into a sludge tank 10; on the other hand, the regenerated solvent is recovered through a condenser 8 into a recovery solvent tank 9.
