Abstract:

To eliminate poor liquid conduction on regeneration processing of an ion exchange resin in a pure water production apparatus when humin is involved in raw water.SOLUTION: In a regeneration process for a pure water production apparatus assembled with an anion exchange tower filled with an anion exchange resin, the anion exchange resin wherein raw water involving 20 μg/L or more of humin is allowed to pass through the anion exchange tower from the apex to the bottom is subjected to back wash treatment by allowing back wash water and/or back wash air to pass through the anion exchange tower from the bottom to the apex, then the anion exchange resin after the back wash treatment is subjected to regeneration treatment by allowing a regeneration liquid agent to pass through the anion exchange tower from the bottom to the apex.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
