Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for regenerating waste paper of corrugated board in high production efficiency enabling the effective removal of ink spots and dusts remaining on long fibers by subjecting the waste paper of corrugated board to a rising-floating treatment to separate ink and fine fibers, and subsequently to a kneading treatment.
SOLUTION: Waste paper of corrugated board of the concentration of 0.5-2.0 wt.% is subjected to a rising-floating treatment under conditions of a temperature of 20-55°C, a flow velocity of 10-55 l/min and an air flowing quantity of 5-20 l/min to separate ink and fine fibers, and subsequently the treated waste paper is subjected to a kneading process with the result that ink spots, dusts etc., having sizes of 200 μm or more remaining on long fibers obtained by separating fine fibers in the above-mentioned process are efficiently removed.
